This Indenture made the 16th day of January in the Year of our Lord 1807 and the 37th year of the Independence of the United States of America, Between Murfree Dickson and his wife, of the State of North Carolina, Green County, Cabinet- maker of the one part and Benijah Dickson of the State and County aforesaid, planter of the other part; Witnesseth that he the said Murfree Dickson for and in the consideration of the great love and affection he bears for his lawful son Benijah and for the sum of one dollar ($!) to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged that the said Murfree Dickson hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell unto the said Benigah Dickson all that plantation or tract of Land known by the name of the Chiking Forte containing 200 acres more or less lying and being on the north side of the Contentny Creek and bounded by said Creek, Smiths old field, Obed Dickson Fort Hill tract, Francis Harper and the sd. Murfree Dickson Tar landing. Also two hundred and twenty acres of the Grampion Hills plantation, where on the said Murfree Dickson now lives, called Sandy Lawn quarter adjoining the road from Murfree's Ferry to Hookers Great Bridge and the main run of Contentny Creek. Also three negroes viz. Sissyfus, a house-joyner, his wife Molsey and Berry, the bricklayer with one set of joyner's tools, 1 whip saw, 2 cross saws, a quantity of cherry planking, 1 dining table, 1 set of winsor chairs, one secatary and furniture, one bed and furniture, 2 cows with calfs, 1 horse, 6 sows with pigs, 1 ram and 12 ewes, one gig and harness, one cart and wheles, 2 steers and a quantity of nails and hardware to have and to hold together with all and singular the Houses, out houses, Buildings, Barns, Stables, Yards, Gardens, Orchards, Wood and under woods, timber and Timber trees, meadows, pastures, Warter and warter courses, paths, passages profits, Heriditaments members and appurtenances, thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders-profits and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold the sd. Plantations or tracts of land containing 420 acres mor or less with every the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging, unto the sd. Binijah Dickson, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from the next before the Day of the date of these presents for and during the full End and Term of one whole Year from thence, next ensuing and fully to be completed and Ended Yielding and paying unto the said Murfree Dickson the Rent of one peppercorn on the last day of the sd. Term if the same shall be lawfully demanded to the intent and purpose that the Virture of these presents some of the Statutes for transferring of uses unto possession he the sd Binajah Dickson may be in the Actual possession of all and singular the premises above mentioned with every the Appurtenances there unto belonging and thereby be the Better intended to Besto him and his heirs granted and released by the same Murfree Dickson and his wife, we hath herunto set our hands and seals the Day and year above written: Signed, Sealed and delivered in the presence of: Shade Dickson H.
