KITTRELL 11 Feb 1931 - JOHN H. KITTRELL of Greenville affirming Civil War Service of 4 men - who were detailed to duty for the purpose of capturing deserters from the Confederate Army - AUGUST W. CARMAN, ART SMITH, KEN KITTRELL, B. F. TUCKER - there were others but he does not remember the names Bill adds the following: Regarding the note on John H. Kittrell. I feel this would be Jonathan Harrell Kittrell, b. 1848 d. Jan 1932, the son of Stanley Kittrell and Winifred Jenkins. Winifred was the daugher of John "Jack" Jenkins and Grizzie Cannon. The Kin Kittrell mentioned was Robert Kindrick Kittrell, son of Allen Kittrell and Sally Worthington. This was Allen's second marriage. I come off of the Allen Kittrell line by his first marriage, through his son Samuel A. Kittrell who married Elizabeth Tucker, daugher of Arden C. Tucker. Martha, could this have been Benjamin Franklin Tucker? He married Marth Ann Carr (who was Stanley Kittrell's second wife after the death of Winifred Jenkins). She was suppose to be the daugher of Matthew H. Carr and Sarah Murphy. B. F. and Martha m. about 1863. B. F. died about 1890. Stanley Kittrell had a daughter by his first marriage to Winifred Jenkins by the name of Grizzy Ann Catherine Kittrell who m. John W. Spivey. His second marriage to Martha Ann Carr produced a daugther by the name of Martha Stanley Winifred Kittrell who m. Josiah Bennett Speight. So we are getting some Greene county connections here. Bill
