The following Militia Men, (who had been received as a part of the Detachment, authorized by an act of Congress passed the 10th day of April, 1812) to wit, Joseph House, Lemon Speight, Stephen Green, Kineham peacock, Mathew Hays, William Brooks, Levi Walton, Benjamin Sellars, Calvin Moy, Jesse Coward, George Belcher, Benjamin Walston, Caleb Spivy, Kedar Farmer, Joseph Farmer, Silas Meeks, Alexander Williams, Joseph Harrell, Alfred Hart, Patrick Dickson, Micajah Suggs, Benjamin Scarborough, Thomas Edwards, John Mincy, Jesse Pope, Silas Lassitter, Gideon Britt, Isaac Parker, Wright Kennedy, Robert Hill, Benjamin Tyson, John Faircloth, Abel Brown and Hardy Dean. The above mentioned deserters were detached from the Counties of Greene and Johnston, and are all probably lurking about their homes. A reward of Ten Dollars will be given for each man, or three Hundred and Fifty Dollars for the whole of the above named men, if delivered to the commandant at this post, with all reasonable expenses-to be paid out of the monthly pay of said deserters.
