Greene County, NC Courthouse
September 1, 1923, W.F. Faulkner applied for a Marriage License for Hugh 
Stocks and Alma Lee Faulkner of Greene Co. Hugh Stocks, age 22, white, was son 
of W.J. Stocks and Zilphia Stocks, both living in Greene Co. Alma Lee 
Faulkner, age 17, white, was daughter of H.H. Faulkner and Sudie Faulkner, 
both living in Greene Co. H.H. Faulkner, father of Alma Lee Faulkner, gave 
written consent for the proposed marriage, and it was filed by H.L. Lassiter, 
Register of Deeds. September 2, 1923, F.L. Rouse, J.P., united in matrimony 
Hugh Stocks and Alma Lee Faulkner at the residence of F.L. Rouse in Olds 
Township. 

Witnesses were: Lucy Moore, Thelma Stocks, and P.T. Rouse.
