Greene County, NC Courthouse
July 6, 1879, G.B. Kilpatrick applied for a Marriage License for W.H. 
Kilpatrick and Hopton Harper, both of Greene Co. W.H. Kilpatrick, age 29, 
white, was son of Geo. Kilpatrick, dead, and Mary Kilpatrick, living, of 
Greene Co. Hopton Harper, age 18 was daughter of Delany Harper, dead, and 
Virginia Harper, living, of Greene Co. On January 7, 1879, Jas. T. Simpson of 
the M.E.C. Snth. united W.H. Kilpatrick and Hopton Harper in matrimony in Snow 
Hill Township. 

Witnesses were: Luby Harper, John Murphey, and T.E. Edwards, all of Greene Co.
