Greene County, NC Courthouse
On July 2, 1931, Herbert Avery applied for a Marriage License for Robert 
Faulkner and Annie Pearl Jones of Greene Co. Robert Faulkner, age 26, white, 
was son of Wiley and Mary Faulkner, both living, of Greene Co. Annie Pearl 
Jones, age 18, white, was daughter of Jim and Rittie Jones, both living in 
Greene Co. The written consent of Rittie Jones, mother of Annie Pearl Jones, 
was given for the proposed marriage and filed by E.E. Edwards, Register of 
Deeds. On July 12, 1931 W. H. Edwards, J.P. united in matrimony Robert 
Faulkner and Annie Pearl Jones at the home of W.H. Edwards at Ridge Spgs, 
Ormondsville Township. 

Witnesses were: Alfred Bowen of Ayden, NC, Helen Faulkner of Ayden, NC, and 
Margaret Butts of Snow Hill, NC.
