Greene County, NC Courthouse
October 29, 1878, Chas. Stocks applied for a Marriage License for A.H. Stocks 
and Ines Speight of Greene Co. A.H. Stocks, age 24, white, was son of Chas. 
Stocks and Jane Stocks, both living in Greene Co. Ines Speight, age 22, white, 
was daughter of Benny Speight and Eliza Speight, both living in Greene Co. The 
marriage was performed October 30, 1878 by J.M. Barfield, Minister of the Free 
Will Baptist, at the home of Benny Speight in Olds Township. 

Witnesses were: Alonzo Denton, J.W. Height, and W.O. Dail, all of Greene Co.
