Greene County, NC Courthouse
December 8, 1885, N.S. Paltin(?) applied for a Marriage License for Levi H. 
Faulkner and Gatsy Stocks of Greene County. Levie Faulkner, age 23, white, was 
son of Reddin and Lucinda Faulkner, both living, of Greene County. Gatsy 
Stocks, age 18, white, was daughter of Chas. and Jane Stocks, both living of 
Greene County. On December 9, 1885, Levi Faulkner and Gatsy Stocks were united 
in marriage by J.M. Barfield, Minister of Free Will Baptist, at Charles 
Stocks’ in Willowgreen.

Witnesses were: Zeno Lyons, James B. Moye, and G.S. Forrest.
