Greene County, NC - Will of Mary A. Harrison, 1930 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ North Carolina Greene County I MARY A. HARRISON, of Greene County, North Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows. ITEM ONE, It is my will and desire that my Executor hereinafter named shall give my body a fit and decent burial, suitable to the wishes of my friends and family, and in keeping with the size of my estate, and shall pay my funeral expenses and all my just debts and obligations, and shall erect at my grave a nice fit and suitable monument having due regard to the amount and value of my estate out of the first moneys which may come into his hands. ITEM TWO, It is my will and desire that my executor hereinafter named shall proceed forth with to collect all notes closes in active accounts, and other indebtedness due me and after applying a sufficient amount thereof to the payment of my funeral expenses and the erection of a monument to my grave and after all my debts are paid and the cash and expenses of administration, shall distribute and pay over the sur- plus to my children share and share alike. ITEM THREE, I give and bequeath to my daughter MINNIE HINNANT wife of JOE HINNANT, one half of one feather bed, one bolster, two pillows, one ______ and one mattress, three chairs one of each set, (I having three sets of chairs) one trunk, and one large picture of myself. ITEM FOUR, I give and bequeath to my son ISAAC HARRISON, one gun, one bureau, three chairs, (one of each set, I having three sets of chairs) and one _______ _________. ITEM FIVE, I give and bequeath to my daughter NORAH FORREST, wife of OSCAR FORREST, one bed stead one mattress, one half of a feather bed, one sewing machine, one bolster, two pillows, three chairs (one of each set I having three sets of chairs.) ITEM SIX, I give and bequeath to my daughter LILLIE ALDRIDGE, wife of MARK ALDRIDGE one bed, one bed stead, one mattress, three chairs. (one of each set, I having three sets of chairs.) ITEM SEVEN, All the use of my household furniture and effect, I give and bequeath to my daughter MITTIE MAE HARRISON, and I also give and be-queath by this item of my will all of the meat, hogs, and corn that may be on hand at my death, to my daughter MITTIE MAE HARRISON. ITEM EIGHT, I give and devise to my daughter MINNIE HINNANT, wife of JOE HINNANT in fee simple, subject to her paying to my Executor here- inafter named the sum of $2500.00, which sum I have advanced her, the following described lands. It being lot # one, in the divisions of my lands as shown on Map and plat, attached to and made a part of my will, (Gives description, mentions Falling Creek, contains 34 & 6/100 acres.) ITEM NINE, I give and devise to my daughter MITTIE MAE HARRISON in fee simple lot # 2 in the division of my lands as shown on the plat and map attached to and made a part of my will, said lot # 2 being described as follows (Gives description, contains 34 & 8/100 acres.) I also give and be-queath and devise to my daughter MITTIE MAE HARRISON Five thousand feet of pine timber to be cut and removed from lot # 5, hereafter allotted to my daughter LILLIE ALDRIDGE, to be used by her in erecting a house on lot # 2, said timber to be cut and removed within a reasonable time after my death. ITEM TEN, I give and devise to my son ISAAC HARRISON in fee simple, sub-ject to him paying to my estate of which he is hereafter appointed Executor, the sum of six hundred ($600.00) Dollars, the said sum being money that I have advanced to him, lot # 3 in the division of my lands as shown on the plat and map, attached to and made a part of my will, lot # 3 being described as follows. (Gives description, contains 34 & 4/100 acres.) ITEM ELEVEN, I give and devise to the children of my daughter, NORA FORREST, wife of OSCAR FORREST in fee simple, subject to their paying to my executor hereafter named, the sum of Four hundred ($400.00) dollars, which sum have been advanced by me to their Mother, NORA FORREST lot # 4 in the divisions of my lands as shown on the map and plat attached to and made a part of my will, said lot # 4 being described as follows. (Gives description, contains 34 & 6/10 acres.) ITEM TWELVE, I give and devise to my daughter LILLIE ALDRIDGE, wife of MARK ALDRIDGE, in fee simple lot # 5 in the division of my lands as shown on the plat and map attached to and made a part of my will said lot # 5 being described as follows. (Gives description, contains 34 & 6/100 acres.) Save and except Five Thousand feet of pine timber herein before bequeathed and devised to MITTIE MAE HARRISON. I hereby constitute and appoint my son, ISAAC HARRISON Executor of this my last Will and Testament to execute the same in accordance with its true intent and meaning, hereby revoking and declaring Null and void all Wills and testa_______ papers by me here to fore made.
