Greene County, NC - Will of Patrick Radford, 1897 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will of Patrick Radford Greene County 1897 I, Patrick Radford of the aforesaid county and state being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last will and testament. First-I desire my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my friends and relatives all funeral expenses to be paid together with my just debts out of the first money which may come into the hands of my executor (hereinafter named) belonging to my estate Second- I loan to my wife Miranda Radford the tract of land I now live on about one hundred acres during her widowhood, afterwards I give and bequeath the aforesaid tract of land equally to my two sons Seth and Levi Radford 3rd- I give to my beloved wife Marinda and my two sons Seth & Levi all my personal estate that may be on hand at my death 4th- I give my daughter Lucinda Overman five dollars 5th- I give to my son Elic Radford five dollars 6th- I give to my son Noah Radford five dollars 7th- I give to my son Luther Radford five dollars 8th- I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Marinda Radford my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same, hereby revoking all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I the said Patrick Radford do hereunto set my hand and seal, This 15th day of February 1897. Patrick Radford (his mark) Signed sealed published and declared by the said Patrick Radford to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request do subscribe our names as witnesses thereto.
