Greene County, NC - Will of Mary Saul ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WILL OF MARY SAUL Found at the NC Archives in NC Supreme Court Case #7329. Submitted by Martha Mewborn Marble I, Mary Sauls of the County of Greene and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First - that my executor (herein after named) shall provide for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relations and friends and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever and to whomsoever owing out of the monies that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate. Item 2 - I give unto Winifred Taylor, daughter of John Taylor, Ninety-five dollars in cash, one bed and furniture, my cloak, trunk and three chairs. Item 3 - I give unto Absaly Taylor, daughter of John Taylor, ninety-five dollars in cash, one bed, and furniture, one woolen wheel, and my side saddle. Item 4 - I give unto my brother Joshua Taylor's children, one hundred and fifty Dollars in cash to be equally divided. Item 5 - I give unto Joshua Uzzell's five daughters by his first wife, one hundred and seventy Dollars to be divided equally. I also give to Janette Uzzell, one small chest, one stone pitcher and one sugar box. Item 6 - I give unto my brother Henry Taylor Seventy Dollars in cash. Item 7 - I give unto Mary Taylor, daughter of Henry Taylor one cloak and one table and Five dollars in money Item 8 - I give unto my brothers John and Henry the residue of my property that is not given away heretofore, if any equally to be divided between them. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend Benjamin W. Taylor my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute this my last will and testament according to the true intent and meaning of the same and every part and clause thereof hereby revoking and declaring utterly void all other wills and testaments by me heretofor made.
