Greene County, NC - Will of Wiley Stocks, 1879 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wiley Stocks State of North Carolina Greene County I Wiley Stocks of the County of Greene and State of NC being feeble in health but sound in mind and knowing the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life, make this my last will and testament. First I give unto my loving wife Curney Ann Stocks two beds and bed clothing, one green chest and one table known as the large table and two bedsteads one of them being known as the turned curt____ stead the other plain one half dozen chairs my clock and looking glass wheel and cotton cards one half dozen plates one dish and one set cups and saucers one set knives and forks one pot and hooks one skillet one spider one tub one water pail one half dozen glasses and all the poultry found on my place and one gilt one small box and one tin trunk. The balance of my property after my burial expenses and Dr. Hornaday and Henry Frizzle is paid I give unto my wife Curney Ann Stocks. I last wish and desire is that Dr. E. H.
