(or H.) Waters I, Delia F. (or H.) Waters of Greene County North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existance [sp] do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say First My executor hereinafter named shall furnish my body a decent burial, one suitable to the wishes of my family and friends and pay my funeral expenses together with all my just debts out of the first money that shall come into his hands as a part and parcel of my estate. Item 2 I loan to my beloved husband John W. Waters all of my real estate on the South side of Contentnea Creek, on which I now reside during his natural life or widowhood. After his death or marriage I give and bequeath the same to my daughter Stella C. Waters. Item 3 I loan to my husband John W. Waters during his natural life all my lands on the North side of Contentnea Creek now occupied by my grandfather P.D. Waters, after his death, I give the same to my daughter Stella C. Waters. Item 4 Should my daughter Stella C. Waters die before she arrives at twenty one years, or dies without issue, it is my wish and desire that my husband John W. Waters hold all my land on the North side of Contentnea Creek on which I now reside. I desire to go to my brother Benjamin P. Warters and his heirs. After the death or marriage of my husband John W. Waters. Item 5 I give to my husband John W. Waters one bed bedstead and furniture all my stock and all my personal property of every description not mentioned above I give to my daughter Stella C. Waters. Lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my husband John W. Waters my executor to execute this my last will and testament and every part [illegible] clause thereof according to the true intent and meaning of the same hereby recording and declaring void all other Wills and Testaments by me hereto made.
