Entered railway service April 5, 1891, since which he has been consecutively 
to Dec. 1899, operator and agent Richmond division Richmond & Danville;
Dec. 1899 to Jan. 1, 1906, operator, train dispatcher and chief train 
dispatcher Norfolk division Southern Ry at Lawrenceville and Pinners Point, Va;
Jan. 1, 1906 to June 15, 1909, trainmaster at Norfolk, Va;
June 15, 1909 to date, superintendent same road.
