Guilford County, NC - Thomas Brown Junior

Jacob Brown was the son of Thomas Brown and Margaret Moon. The Brown's
ten children were apparently born in Rowan County, NC, the part near
Greensboro which later became Guilford County. Quaker records of the
New Garden Monthly Meeting show their children as follows:

Joseph Brown, b. 22 February 1749 (old style calendar)

William Brown, b. 14 January 1751

Thomas Brown, b. 15 February 1753

Jacob Brown, b. 14 January 1755, m. Mary Armfield

Samuel Brown, b. 17 February 1757

Richard Brown, b. 9 January 1759

Ruth Brown, b. 9 July 1761

Moses Brown, b. 6 August 1763

Rachel Brown, b. 19 July 1766

Jean Brown, b. 1 April 1770

Thomas and Margaret were married in Virginia


Thomas Brown Senior

Thomas Brown, who married Ruth ___ appears in the Quaker records of North
Carolina only as the father of the Thomas Brown who married Margaret Moon.
The elder Thomas apparently lived in Virginia, since his son was born
and married there
