Introduction to the use of these Buffalo Presbyterian Vital Records

When I first set out to prepare these vital records from the microfilm at the 
North Carolina State Archives, I realized that I was not going to be able to 
use them as they were filmed, open-book style with two adjoining pages in one 
image. The reason behind this was that the book's binding appeared to have 
deteriorated so that in some cases, pages were loose leaf and were inserted 
incorrectly back into the book, out of sequence. In some cases there are page 
numbers, but mostly there are not.

I transcribed the names of the individuals so that they are digitally 
available by Google search, and for the birth and baptisms, the names of their 
parents. I do not have the skills for using photo shop arts, and this project 
would have stopped dead in its tracks had not Guy Potts [Guilford County 
coordinator for ncgenweb.org] stepped in and offered his assistance in 
splitting the images. I think he has done a great job!

So, there may be a little extra effort on the reader's part to place the Part 
I and Part II images side by side when using them, but I think having the 
actual images is worth the extra effort. Wishing you a successful ancestor 
hunting!
