Jester CPJester@aol.com January 4, 2008, 10:03 pm Written: 1792 Guilford County Deeds - Book F p. 338 Arthur Bland to Alexander Doak, 1792 This indenture made this twelfth day of September in the year of our lord Christ one thousand seven hundred and ninety two and in the sixteenth year of the Independence of America between Arthur Bland of the county of Randolph and State of North Carolina of the one part and Alexander Doak of the County of Surry and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of eighty pounds current money of North Carolina to him the said Arthur Bland in hand paid by the said Alexander Doak the receipt whereof the said Arthur Bland doth hereby acknowledge hath now granted bargained and sold aliened enfeofed and confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Alexander Doak him his heirs and assigns for ever all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Guilford and on the waters of Little Alamance beginning at a post oak and black oak in Peter Julands line turning thence south 45 degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to a turkey oak thence east forty five degrees south crossing Little Alamance one hundred and fifty poles to a post oak thence north 45 degrees east on the line of No 21 one hundred and sixty poles to a post oak thence to the first station containing in the whole one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to said land belonging or appurtenaining to hold to the said Alexander Doak his heirs and assigns for ever free and clear from all encumbrances whatsoever and also all the estate right title interest and property which he the said Arthur Bland had in premises and every part and parcel thereof to told unto the said Alexander Doak his heirs and assigns for ever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my and seal the day and year above written signed sealed and delivered in presence of John Doak Arthur Bland Robt.
