Jester CPJester@aol.com January 5, 2008, 1:32 am Written: 1798 Guilford County Deeds - Book G p. 256 Arthur Bland & Wife to Joseph Lovett, 1798 This indenture made this twentieth day of December in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety eight between Arthur Bland and Rebeckah his wife of the county of Guilford and state of north Carolina on the one part and Joseph Lovet of the same county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Arthur Bland and Rebeckah his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twelve pounds to him in hand paid before the ensealing of these presents the receipt of which the said Arthur Bland and Rebeckah his wife doth here by acknowledge and discharge and aquite the said Joseph Lovet his heirs exrs and admrs I convey of them and hath bargained sold and confirmed and by these presents doth bargain sell and confirm unto the said Lovet his heirs and assigns for ever all that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of South Buffalow, containing one hundred and forty acres beginning at a Hickory Running thence east two hundred and ninety eight poles To a black jack thence north seventy four poles to a post oak thence west two hundred and ninety eight poles to a post oak thence south seventy nine poles to the beginning together with all appurtenances profits and advantages belonging to the said premises namely such as wood waterways clear land orchards buildings with all other profits and advantages belonging to the aforementioned land to have and to hold the said premises from time to time and at all times free & clear and freely and clearly and by virtue of these presents the said Arthur Bland and Rebeckah his wife shall quietly and peaceably possess the said Lovet his heirs and admins and every of them against all former gifts grants wills entacts mortgages and leases judgments and dower and all other encumbrances whatsoever to the said Lovite his heirs exrs admr's to his and their proper use and behoof to till and occupy the same and this said Arthur Bland and Rebeckah his wife for themselves their heirs exec'rs admrs and every of them truly to perform these presents and in testimony of the same we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals Signed sealed and delivered in presence of John Rawley Arthur his X mark Bland William Armfield Rebeckah her X mark Bland North Carolina February Court 1800 Guilford County John Rawley proved the execution of the within deed in open court let it be recorded John Hamilton CC File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/guilford/deeds/bland64ndd.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/ncfiles/ File size: 3.2 Kb
