Of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina of the one part and John Coe of the same County and State affsd of the other part. Witnessith that the said Wm Quiete for and in Consideration of the Sum of one hundred pounds Lawfull Money of the State affsd to him in hand paid by the sd.. John Coe the Receipt whereof the s.. William Quiete Doth hereby Acknowledge and of Every part and parcel thereof Doth Absolutely Acquit Exhonerate and Discharge the S.. John Coe his Heirs and Extrs and Admintrs and Every of them hath Given Granted Aliened Infeofed Released and Confirmed and by these Presents do Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien enfeoff Release and Confirm unto the S.. John Coe his Heirs and Assigns forever all that Part of A Tract of Land Bought by the Said Wm Quiete of Brian Roark Bounded as follows Beginning at a post Oak the South Corner of the original Tract Running thence west Two hundred and fifty Six poles to a Black Jack then South west Corner of the Sd.. Tract and adjouning the Land of John Stewart Black Smith thence North Ninety four poles to a Black Oak Saplen thence East Two hundred and fifty Six poles to a Black Oak thence South Ninety four poles to the first Station Situate Lying and Being in the County and State affsd.. on the head waters of the Alamance Containing one hundred and fifty Acres of Land out of the affsd Tract of Six hundred and forty Acres Together with All woods waters Mines Minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to this Sd.. Land and premises Belonging or appurtaining and Every part and singular thereof to have and hold to the Sd.. John Coe his heirs and assigns for ever and clear from all Incumbrances. The Taxes Due or Becuming Due only Excepted and fore prized (?) and the Saide Wm Quiete Do for my self my heirs Extrs Admints and Every of them promise Convenant and Agree to and with the Sd.. John Coe that he the Said John Coe may from all Times hereafter have hold posess and Injoy the affsd one hundred and fifty Acres of Land Granted without the Sett Molestation of him the Sd.. Quiete or his heirs Extrs Admrs or any of them and the sd William Quiete do for ever Warrant and Defend the affsd Grantide Bargained promise unto the Sd.. John Coe his heirs and assigns from the Lawfull Claim of All persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the Sd.. Wm Quiete Sen.
