Trotter 28 November, 1828 Book 22, p. 138-139 This Indenture made this twenty eighth of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between Thomas Stack and Andrew Russell of the County of Guilford and State of North Carolina of the one part and Jonathan D. Trotter of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Stack and Russell Co. for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy Dollars to them in hand paid doth Bargain sell alien and confirm until the said Jonathan D. Trotter a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in our County of Guilford on the waters South Buffalow Reddock (Rudduck?) Creek Beginning on John Ballanger's corner running west Two Hundred and four poles to a Post oak. Thence North thirty four poles to a White Oak, thence East one hundred and eight poles to a Stone. Thence, North Thirty eight poles to a stone. Thence East ninety six poles to a Black Jack. Thence, South Eighty two poles to the first Stations containing Seventy acres be the same more or less with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging or appertaining to the said Jonathan D. Trotter his heirs and assigns forever yealding and paying such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct in consideration Whereof the said Stack and Russell doth warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Jonathan D. Trotter, his heirs and assigns forever clear of and from the said Stack and Russell on their heirs or assigns forward. In Witness whereof the said Stack and Russell doth set their names and affix their Seals the day and year first above written.
