State of North Carolina, Guilford County.  Grant 25158.  Issued Dec 15, 1808.  
Book 123  Page 405. Location on waters of the Reedy Fork.

Levin Charles entry officer of claims for lands in the county of Guilford.  To 
the  surveyor of said county greeting.  You are hereby required as soon as may 
be to lay of & survey for BENJAMIN SHAW a tract or parcel of land he entered 
the 19th day of February 1808.  Containing 290 acres adjoining his own on the 
waters of Reedy Fork in Guilford County and running for compliment.  Observing 
the directions of the Acts of Assembly in such case made & provided for 
running out lands. --& fair plans of such survey with a proper certificate 
annexed to each.  You are to transmit with this warrant to the Secretary 's 
Office without delay given under my hand his 20th day of May 1808.

Warrant No. 3.  Scale of 100 poles in an inch.  The 23 day of the 5th month, 
one deed was surveyed for BENJAMIN SHAW 290 acres of land on the Reedy Fork in 
Guilford County.  Beginning at WORTH's corner: running west 500 poles, then 
north 150 poles, then west 60 poles, then south 240 poles to JONATHAN KNIGHT's 
line, then east 40 poles to his corner, then south 190 poles, then along ABEL 
KNIGHT's line east 38 poles, then north 242 poles along BENJAMIN SHAW's land, 
east 472 poles, then south to and along MICAJAH STANLEY's line, 196 poles to a 
black oak, then along JESSE STANLEY's line east 10 poles, then along WORTH's 
line to the first station.

Certificate.  North Carolina 3th Dec. 1808.  On the day above written BENJAMIN 
SHAW did pay into this Office the Sum of seven pounds five shillings.  it 
being in full of the purchase money for 290 acres of land by him entered in 
the County of Guilford as by the Entry-Taker's certificate No. 3.
