WILLIAM QUIETE TO ROBERT HANNAH

This Indenture Made this Twenty Ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one 
thousand Eight hundred Between William Quiete of the County of Guilford & 
State of North Carolina of the one part & Robert Hannah of the County & State  
affs. of the other part Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of 
Two hundred & forty three pounds fifteen Shillings Current Money of the Sd.. 
State to the Sd.. Wm Quiete in hand paid by the Sd.. Robert Hannah Before the 
Execution hereof the Receipt whereof  the Sd..Wm Quiete Doth herey Acknowledge 
& thereof Exonerate & Acquit the Sd.. Robert Hannah his Heirs Exers.. Admrs.. 
& assigns he the Sd.. Wm Quiete by these presents hath Granted Bargained Sold 
aliened Released Confirmed & Sete over all that piece or parcel of Land 
Situate Lying & being in our County of Guilford on the waters of the Alamance 
being part of a Tract of Land he has now in posesson Beginning at a Black Jack 
Turning thence Two Hundred & Sixty Nine poles to a Black Oak Line Tuckers 
Corner thence North Eighty Nine poles & Three Tenths along the original Line 
to a Spanish Oak thence west Two hundred & Sixty Nine poles to a hickory grub 
on the original line thence to the first Station Containing one hundred & 
fifty Acres Sette Same More or Less Together with the Reversions Improvements 
Remainders Rents _______ and profets & also all the Estate Right Title 
Interest property Claim & Demand what so ever of in & to the Sd.. piece parcel 
or Tract of Land & premesis & every part thereof with the appurtenances 
thereto Belonging To have & to hold to the Sd.. Robert Hannah his Heirs & 
assigns for ever to his & their duly proper use Benefit & behoof for ever & 
the Sd.. Wm. Quiete doth hereby Covenant & grant that he will for himself & 
his Heirs & all & every of them Warrant & for ever defend the above Bargained 
& Granted one hundred & fifty Acres of Land & Premises & every part there of 
Unto the Said Robert Hannah his Heirs & assigns for ever against him the Sd.. 
Wm Quiete his Heirs all & every other person Claiming by from or under him the 
Sd.. Wm Quiete his Heirs all & every other person Claiming by from or under 
him or them in witness whereof the Sd.. Wm Quiete hath hereunto Set his hand & 
affixed his Seal the day & year above written.
