This deed made this 11th day of June AD 1877 by Delilah Hegwood of Guilford County and State of North Carolina to Martha Elizabeth Bennett of Guilford County and State of North Carolina. Witnesseth that said Delilah Hegwood in consideration of natural love and affection hath conveyed to the said Martha E. Bennett wife Isaac Franklin Bennett to be used and enjoyed by her after my death. I reserve a life time estate in the same land a certain tract in Guilford County North Carolina to her and her heirs forever bounded as follows Beginning at a stone Richard's Corner running thence East 32 poles to the center of the Martinsville road thence up said road 15 poles to stone thence East 32 poles to a black oak thence North 57 poles to a hickory in Larriers line thence west 70 poles to a red oak in Dick's line then South 5 o East 70 poles to the beginning containing 25 acres, To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land and all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Martha Elizabeth Bennett and her heirs and assigns to her only use and behoof after the death of Delilah Hegwood and the said Delilah Hegwood covenants that sized of said premises in fee and right to convey the same in fee simple that the same are free from encumbrances and that she will warrant and defend the said title to the same against the claims of all persons whatsoever in testimony whereof the said Delilah Hegwood had herewith set her hand and seal the day and year above written.
