ELIZABETH & SAMUEL QUIET TO SIMON LANDRETH

This Indenture made the fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred & Twelve between Elizabeth Quiet & Samuel Quit of the 
County of Guilford & State of No Carolina of the one part and Simon Landreth 
of the Coutny & State afsd. of the other part witnesseth that the Sd. 
Elizabeth Quiet and Samuel Quiet for & in Consideration of the Sum of four 
hundred fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by the Said Simon Landreth the 
Receipt whereof the Sd. Elizabeth Quet & Samuel Quet do hereby acknowledge 
hath given Granted bargained Sold Aliened & Confirmed & by these presents do 
give grant bargain & Sell Alien & Confirm unto the Sd. Simon Landreth his 
Heirs & assigns for ever all that Tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & 
being in the County of Guilford on the waters of the North fork of Alamance 
Beginning at at Maple on Hammers Corner thence east with Sd. Hammors line one 
hundred & Ninety one poles to a Stake Corner to Robert Quiet thence South with 
Sd. Quets line one hundred & Eighteen poles to a Stake in Sd. Line thence west 
fifty Two poles to a Gum bush thence South Twenty poles to a Hickory Grub 
thence South 26 degrees west fifteen poles to a Rock thence west one hundred 
thirty Six poles to Some Rocks thence North one hundred & fifty four poles to 
the Beginning Containing one hundred & Seventy five Acres be the Same More of 
less being that Tract or parcel of Land willed to the Sd. Elizabeth Buiet & 
Samuel Quiet by Wm Quet Dec'd also all the wood ways waters mines minerals and 
hereditamints & appurtenances to the Same appertaining or belonging or in 
anywise apurtaining to the Same and the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & 
Remainders Rents Issues & profits of the afds. Land & premises & every part 
thereof & all the estateRight Title Interest Claims propertys & Demand 
whatsoever of the Sd. Elizather Quiet & Samuel Quiet of in & to the Sd. Land & 
premises hereby granted to have & to hold the afsd. Land & premises with the 
appurtenances unto the Sd. Simon Landreth his Heirs & assigns to the proper 
use & behoof of the Sd. Simon Landreth his Heirs and assigns for ever & all 
the Sd. Elizabeth Quiet & Samuel Quiet for themselves their Heirs the afsd. 
land & premise & every part thereof against them & their Heirs and against the 
Claim or Claims of any other person or persons whatsoever to the Said Simon 
Landreth his Heirs & assigns Shall & will Warrant & for ever Defend by these 
presents In witness wharof the Sd. Elizabeth Quiet & Samuel Quiet hath 
hereunto Set their hands & affixed their Seals the day & year Above Written
