Guilford County Deeds - Book E    p 283

James Lyne to Arthur Bland, 1790

This indenture made and entered into between James Lyne of Granvile county 
State of North Carolina of the one part and Arthur Bland  of Guilford county 
and state  above mentioned of the other part witnesseth that for and in 
consideration of the sum of sixty  pounds in hand paid by said Bland hath give 
and granted ad by these presents do give  and grant unto him the said Bland a 
tract of land contain ing one hundred and fifty acres more or less lying and 
being  in the County of Guilford on both sides of little alamance beginning at 
a post oak and black oak in peter Julans line running thence south forty five 
degrees west one hundred and sixty poles to a turkey oak thence east forty 
five degrees south crossing little alamance  one hundred and fifty poles to a 
post oak thence north forth five degrees east on he line of McTurnly  one  
hundred and sixty poles to a post oak thence to  the first station.  for the 
aforementioned sum of money together with all mines minerals hereditaments and 
appurtenances to said land belonging or appertaining and also all the estate 
right tile interest and property by the said James Lyne  premises and every  
tract and parcel thereof to hold unto the said  Arthur Bland his heirs and 
assigns for ever  in witness whereof  I have hereunto set my  hand and seal 
this ninth day of October 1790
