CABLE STORY  }
            This indenture made the 20th day of April Eighteen hundred and 
Sixteen between James McCann of Guilford & State of N. Carolina of one part & 
Cable Story of the same County & State of the other part, Witness that the 
said McCann for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars to him 
the Sd. McCann in hand paid by the Sd. Cable Story the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged and hath given granted bargained & sold & by these 
presents doth give grant bargain sell & confirm unto the Sd. Cable Story all 
that tract or parcel of Land Situate lying & being in our County of Guilford & 
State aforesaid and on the waters of Alamance. Beginning at Wightman's Corner 
post Oak running Thence North one hundred & seventeen poles to a post Oak then 
West one hundred & Ninety Seven poles to a Black Oak then East to the 
beginning. Containing one hundred & seventeen Acres of Land together with all 
woods waters mines minerals heriditamances & appurtenances to Sd. land to hold 
to the said land to have & to hold to Sd. land to him & his heirs for use to 
him and their own property's use & _____ & the Sd. James McCann do __ myself 
heirs excutors and administrators warrant forever defend the above described 
land & premises described to the Sd. Cable Story his heirs & assigns for ever 
from the claim of all persons claiming by persons under me. In testimony 
whereof I have unto set my hand & seal this day & year above written.
