For and in consideration of the sum of three hundred pounds Current Money of Virginia in hand paid by the said George Adams the receipt Whereof is hereby acknowledged before the sealing and Delivery of these presents Hath granted bargained and Sold and by those presents doth grant Bargain and Sell unto the said George Adams his heirs and assigns forever one Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing Three hundred and Ninty five Acres lying and being in the county of Pittsylvania on the Branches of Dan River and Bounded as Follows to Wit, Beginning at James Duncan Corn? Thence New Lines North five Degrees West forty one paces to a Shrub White Oak North forty Degrees West fifty paces to a red Oak North ten degrees West one hundred and forty two paces to a Red Oak North Sixty five degrees West one hundred and Eighty paces to a Shrub White Oak South Seventy two Degrees West two hundred and five paces to a hickory South fifteen Degrees East one hundred and fifty paces to a Red Oak South sixty three Degrees east Seventy one paces to a Red Oak in Stoner Line thence along said Stoner line North twenty one Degrees East Sixty paces to a White oak thence along Duncans line North Seventy four Degrees East one hundred seventy six paces to a White oak South forth four Degrees East sixty Eight paces to a pine South Sixty five Degrees East one hundred and Twenty paces to the Beginning with all king of improvements thereon to have and to hold the said land and premises with it apertures unto the said George Adams his heirs and assigns foreer to the only proper use and behoof of him the said George Adams his heirs and assigns forever and lastly the said Thomas Owen Sen.? All and Singular the premises hereby granted land with its apertures unto the said George Adams his heirs and assigns forever against all and every person or persons. Whatsoever Shall and will Warrant and forever defent by these presents. In Wittness whereof the said Thomas Owen has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
