Witnesseth: That the Said Watson and Samuel Petty for and the consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid by the said William Petty before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the [?] whereof the said Watson & Samuel Petty doth hereby acknowledge and fully doth discharge unto said William Petty, his Heirs or assigns and by these presents hath granted, bargained and sold [?] and confirmed unto the said William Petty his Heirs and assigns forever all the right and title of which they now possess or hereafter may be possessed of by virtue of the Last Will and Testaments of Elias Petty & James Petty of that piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Polecat Creek, bounded as follows: Beginning at a Hickory in Worth’s line, thence north Eighty Six poles to a Black Oak Worth’s corner, thence East Two poles, thence North Thirty Three poles to a Sweet Gum, thence west one hundred and forty seven poles to a stone near a Persimmon, thence South one hundred and Nineteen poles to a Black Oak, thence East to the first station. Containing in the whole One Hundred and Six Acres of land, be the same more or less. Together with all the improvements, woods, waters, mines, mineral and other priviledges (sic) and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold unto the said William Petty his heirs and assigns forever the aforesaid track (sic) of land and all and singular the premises to his only proper use and behoof and the said Watson & Samuel for themselves their heirs, Executors, Administrators or assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend from all persons by these presents to the said William Petty, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns the quantity of land forever. To have and to hold occupy and possess and peaceable to enjoy. In witness whereof we the said Watson Petty and Samuel Petty hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written, signed, sealed and delivered in the presents of (attest) Barnabas Coffin.
