Robert Pierce to Rachel Bartley 100 Acres

This Indenture made this 19 Day of October in the year one Thousan[d] Seven 
hundred & Ninety five Between Robt Pierce of the one part of the State of North 
Carolina in Guilford County & Rachael Bartley of the County & State afsd of the 
other part Winesseth that the afsd Robt Peerce for & in consideration of the Sum 
of Fifty pound to him in hand paid by the Sd Rachel Bartley the Receipt whareof 
the Sd Robt Pierce Doth hereby acknowledge he the Sd Robt Peerce hath granted 
Bargained Sold alined & Confirmed & by these presents Doth Grant Bargain Sel[l] 
Alien & Confirm unto the Sd Rachael Bartley her Heirs & assigns a piece or parcel 
of Land in Guilford County Situate on the waters of Deep River Beginning at a 
Black Oak Henry [Safrites] Corner Running North Ninety three poles to a post Oak 
thence west one hundred & Seventy Two poles to four post Oak & Pointers thence 
South Ninety Ninety three poles to a Hickory Grub thence to the first Station 
containing one hundred Acres be the same more or less Together with every 
appurtenance thereunto Belonging or in any wise appurtaining & all the Estate 
Right Title Interest Claim & Demand of him the Sd Robert Pierce of in & to the Sd 
Premises & every part thereof to have & to hold the premises above mentioned unto 
the Sd Rachel Bartley her Heirs & Assigns to their proper use for ever & the Sd 
Robert Pierce for himself & his Heirs will warant & Defend the Above Described 
premises against Being the Just Claim of any person of by from or under him or 
them to the Sd Rachael Bartley her Heirs & assigns by these presents In Witness 
whareof the Sd Robt Pierce hath hereunto Set his Hand & affixed his Seal the Day 
& year above Written
