GEORGE DONNELL TO DAVID QUATE

This Indenture made this Seventeenth Day of August One Thousand Seven hundred 
& Ninety Nine Between George Donnell of the County of Guilford & State of 
North Carolina on the one part & David Quate of the County & State afs. of the 
other Witneseth that for & in Consideration of the Sum of Six hundred Dollars 
to him in hand paid By the Sd. David Quate Before the Execution hereof the 
Receipt is Fully Acknowledged & the Sd. David Quate & the Sd. David Quate for 
ever Acquitted he the Sd. George Donnell By these presents hath Granted 
Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeofed assigned Released & Confirmed & Set over Unto 
the Sd. David Quate his Heirs & Assigns for ever all that piece parcel or 
Tract of Land Lying Situate & Being on the waters of Little Alamance Beginning 
at a Post Oak on James Porters Line Turning Thence West a Dividing Line with 
Sd.. George Donnell Two hundred & Eighty eight poles to Black & Red Oak & 
persimmon Bush thence North on Mc Brides (?) Line one hundred and Nine poles 
to a Black Oak thence East on Adam Lackeys Line Twenty one poles to a Black 
Oak thence North on Lackeys Line forty Eight poles to a Spanish Oak thence 
East on Lackeys and Benjamin Nutters Line Two hundred and forty one poles to a 
post Oak thence North on Nutters Line one hundred & forty poles to a Hickory 
_________ thence East Twenty Nine poles to a post Oak thence South on M. 
Gibboneys and James Porters Line Two hundred & Ninety five poles to the 
Beginning Station Containing three hundred Acres Togather with the 
Improvements Reversions   ___________  Rents Issues & profits & also all the 
Estate Right Title Interest property Claim & Demand what so ever of in & to 
the Sd. Tract of Land & Premises & every part thereof with the appurtenances 
there of appertaining to hold to the Sd. David Quiete his Heirs & Assigns for 
ever & to his proper use Benefit & Behoof for ever & the Sd. George Donnell 
doth hereby Grant that he will for himself & his Heirs & every of them Warrant 
& for ever Defend the above Bargained premises Unto the Sd. David Quiete his 
Heirs & assigns for ever Against him the Said George Donnell his Heirs & all & 
every other person Claiming by from or Under him In witness whereof I have 
here unto Set my hand & affixed my Seal the day and year first above Written
