Deed: ROBERT RUSSELL TO WILLIAM RUSSELL, 1790
Guilford County, NC Book 5, p. 221

This Indenture made this fifteenth Day of the Second month in the year of our 
Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred & Ninety Between Robert Russell of the State of 
North Carolina & County of Guilford of the on part & William Russell of the 
County & State aforesaid of  the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Robert 
Russell for and inconsideration of the sum of Fifty pounds to him in hand paid 
by the said William Russell the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge that 
granted bargained & sold aliened & confirmed by these presents doth grant 
Bargain & Sell alien & Confirm unto the said William Russell his heirs & assigns 
for ever at that piece or parcel of Land  Situate Lying & Being in the County 
aforesaid on the waters of Reedy fork Begining at the Post Oak corner To the 
Original Tract & also to Land of Robert Bishop runing South on his line Ninety 
poles to a post Oak Sapling then West Two Hundred & fifty acres be the same more 
or less Togather with all woods ways waters mines minerals & appurtenances 
thereunto Belonging or in anywise appertaining.  To have & To hold the said Land 
& appurtenances To the said William Russell his Heirs & Assigns to the ---- 
proper use & behoof of the said William Russell his heirs & assigns forever & 
the said Robert Russell for himself his Heirs Exrs. & Admrs. Doth hereby promise 
Covenant & agree that the said Robert Russell his Heirs, Executors and Admrs. 
Shall & will at all Times Warrant & for ever Defend the said premises to the 
said William Russell his Heirs & Assigns against all lawfull Claims or Demands 
whatsoever whereby the above mentioned premises might or may be affected or 
incumbered contrary to the true interest & meaning of these Presents.  In 
Witness whereof the said Robert Russell has hereunto sett his Hand and affixed 
his Seal the Day and Date above written.
