Deed of David Russell to William Peasley & William Akin Book 5 p. 223 This Indenture made the Twenty Ninth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Ninety one Between David Russell of Abbeville County State of South Carolina and William Peasley & William Akin of Guilford County State of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that for & in Consideration of the sum of Fifty pounds Specie to him the said David Russell in hand paid by them the said William Eakin & Wm. Peasley the Receipt whereof the said David Russell Doth hereby acknowledge that given granted Bargained & Sold aliened Enfeoff & Confirmed & by these present doth give grant Bargain Sell Alien & Confirm unto them the said William Peasley & Wm. Eakin them their Heirs & assigns for ever all that Tract or parcel of Lan situate lying & being in the said County of Guilford on the waters of Alamance Begining at a Black Oak Corner to said Russells former survey runing Thence on the line of the same North Twenty four chains to a post Oak Saplin hence West Twenty Chains to a post Oak Sapling thence South Twenty five Chains & half to a small persimmon on Samuel M. Dills Line thence on said line East tot he Begining containing forty nine acres Togather with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments & appurtenances hereunto Belonging or appertaining to hold to the said William Akin & Wm. Peasley their heirs & assigns for ever clear of all Incumbrances whatsoever the sum of money yearly or otherwise as our general assembly from Time to Time may Direct only Excepted & Foreprized & the said David Russel for himself his heirs Exrs. admrs. & assigns do further covenant & agree to & with the same Wm. Eakin & Willia Peasley their heirs and assigns that he the said David Russell his Heirs & assigns at any future time will Execute any other conveyance or Conveyances that said Wm. Akin & WM. Peasley's attorney learned in law may Direct fore more, better & firmest assurance of the above Described land & Premises to the said Wm. Eakin & William Peasley their heirs & assigns forever provided always that Such Conveyance Shall be at the Cost of them the said William Peasley & Wm.
