Matthew Shaw & others to Drusy Wood and wife,

This indenture made on this day of October on 1830 between Mathew Shaw, Noble 
Shaw, Aaron Shaw, and James Morton and his wife Mary of the one part; and 
Drusy Wood and his wife Rhoda [Shaw] on the other part, all of the state of 
North Carolina and Guilford county. All parties heirs of the late BENJAMIN 
SHAW deed have allotted and by mutual argument have divided the land of their 
dead father BENJAMIN SHAW will in faith that the said Matthew Shaw, Noble 
Shaw, Aaron Shaw, James Morton and Mary his wife, the receipt whereof is heirs 
by acknowledged, and the said Matthew Shaw, Noble Shaw, Aaron Shaw, James 
Morton and his wife Mary [Shaw], doth hereby exonerated and agreed the said 
Drusy Wood and Rhoda his wife their heirs and assigns forever all that piece 
tract and parcel of land situate lying and being in our county of Guilford on 
the waters of Reedy Fork of Haw River.

Containing 162 acres of land, -----with all improvements, mines, minerals and 
profits there unto belonging as in any pertaining to the above granted land to 
hold to the said Drusy Wood and his wife Rhoda, their heirs and assigns 
forever to theirs only proper use benefit and behalf.  And the said Matthew 
Shaw, Noble Shaw, Aaron Shaw, James Morton his wife Mary, doth hereby granted 
the will for themselves their heirs and every [one] of them warrant the above 
described premises unto the said Drusy Wood his wife Rhoda and their heirs 
forever in ----- whereof the have set their hand and seals the day and year 
above written.

We certify that Rhoda Wood and Mary Morton were examined before us separate 
and apart from their husband and acknowledged that they assigned the within 
deed of their free will and consent without any cautions from their husband.

John M. Shaw prove his execution of the within deed in open court.  The 
private examination of Rhoda Wood and Mary Morton being taken there to ordered
