JOHN WITTY a Tract of land containing six hundred and forty acres Lying and
being in our county of Guilford On Both sides of Haw River Begining at a White
Oak in James Delay's line runing thence along his line South to and along
Thomas Blairs line crossing said Haw River (in all) Two hundred fifty six
poles to Robert McKinnies corner white Oak thence along said Robert McKinnies
Line East crossing Lick Branch one hundred and fifty five poles to his and
Thomas Winchesters corner Black Oak thence the same course along said Thomas
Winchesters Line one hundred and sixty poles to his and  Richard Brotons
corner Spanish Oak and thence the same course along said Richard Bortons Line
eighty (in al) four hundred poles to a Black thence North [c]rossing said Haw
river the Beaver ponds and Branch two hundred and fifty six poles to James
Martins corner post Oak Saplin thence along his line West two hundred and
twenty poles to James Delays corner Black Oak thence the same course along his
line crossing a branch one hundred and eighty(in all) four hundred poles to
the first station for the rest of this grant see page 356 date the 14th day of
October 1783   No 932
