Killed In Action, Lt. Col.
 We regret to state that LIEUTENANT COL. C. C. COLE, was killed in the late 
battles, He was struck in the breast by a ball, and killed instantly. LT. COL. 
COLE was a native of Greensborough. [According to military records, LT. COL. 
CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS COLE, of Guilford, died at Chancellorsville, Va. on 3 
May, 1863.]
