Papers Of General Nathanael Greene, Vol. 7, Page 280:
	“To General Alexander Lillington, from Reedy Fork Creek [Reedy Fork 
Creek dissects the entire county of Guilford, but according to the Hughes or 
Custom House Map, Greene’s army crossed the McDowell farm located in the 
triangle formed by Reedy Fork Creek, Long Branch, and Arvin’s Branch, on the 
afternoon or evening following the Battle of Guilford Courthouse on March 15th, 
1781] NC, 11 February 1781. Has ‘recent intelligence’ that the British are 
marching toward Guilford Courthouse; believes ‘this Army is their principle 
object.’ Lillington must hurry his march and follow the main army across the 
Haw River Bridge to join NG. Df (MiU-C) 1 page.
