Dear General, I have not enough ink to be prolix as usual. The enemy have altered their position and lay now, (according to the best information I can get) on the road to Cross Creek. It is said the main body moved about nine this morning but their foragers and etc, have been seen all day and their drum heard late in the day. Major Burnett is informed where we intend to encamp tonight. I have sent a small party to make the enemy lay upon his arms. I am, truly yours, O. H. Williams.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/guilford/military/revwar/letters/mclean66gmt.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 1.2 Kb
