He was married to Comfort ?Roens in Guilford County, who died in Guilford County, North Carolina, 1803. Sarah Hurley has often heard her mother and others say frequently that he, John More, was in the Revolutionary War with Great Britain and he served _________________________________ [left blank] seven years and was in several battles. He was in the Battle at Guilford courthouse and he got his discharge at the close of the war when peace was made. Sarah Hurley, her mark.
