He moved to Grainger County Tennessee about 1808 where he died in 1852 sometime shortly before the month of August. He was living in Halifax County on the 1st December 1780 when he was drafted into Captain Williiam McDaniels Company, Maj Nathaniel Cocke's Battalion, Gen Lawsons Brigade of the Virginia Militia at Boyd's Ferry on the Dan River. From there they joined General Green's forces as Cornwallace was pursuing him into Virginia. When Cornwallis retired back to Guilford Courthouse Gen Greene's forces followed and after several small skirmishes fought the battle of Guilford on the 15th of March 1781. Larkin Seymour/Semour's company was discharged the 20th of March 1781. This tour of duty lasted between 3 and 4 months and is supported by the Deposition of Joseph Ellis on his behalf, a fellow soldier at Guilford Courthouse and a member of the North Carolina Militia, His second tour lasted from 1 August 1781 until late October or early November 1781 at the Battle of Yorktown in Captain Fleming Bates Company, Maj. Allen's Battalion, Virginia Militia. He was discharged at Petersburg, Virginia. His Declaration for Pension, #R9004, was given on 18 March 1843. The Office of Pensions accepted the proof of the first tour to Guilford Courthouse, but rejected the second tour to Youktown for lack of proof on 20 November 1844 and asked for further proof as he had failed to prove the six months service required for pension benefits. Additional proof was never established before his death in 1852.
