JOHN WILSON - NC - S21581 18 March 1833 Greenville Co., SC - JOHN WILSON of Anderson Dist., SC, age 77, made the following statement: He served 4 tours of duty: (1) entered service in Guilford Co., NC as a volunteer for a 6 mo. tour under Capt. Bell, Col. John Parely and Genl. Rutherford (2) when previous service was over, he was drafted for a 9 month tour and was in the Battle at Brier Creek (3) and (4) volunteered in the horse service. He was born in 1755 in PA and lived in Guilford Co., NC. About 4 years after the War he moved to Pendleton Dist., SC to "the plantation where I now live". ______________________________________________________________________ Copyright.
