Kinston Free Press (28 Sep 1905) Newspaper Of Kinston, NC September 27, 1905
Greensboro, Sep. 27 -- Bailey FARRINGTON, a white boy 17 years old, and his 
brother, Prince, aged 15, were found guilty of barn burning by a Guilford superior 
court jury this afternoon and were sentenced by Judge Shaw to five years each on 
the county roads -- the minimum punishment for this crime.  The jury was unable to 
agree after 24 hours deliberation as to Tom FARRINGTON, father of the boys, 
charged with the same offense, and a juror was withdrawn and a mistrial ordered.
