On the 7, ult., by Philip Horney, Esq., Mr. Elisha Carlisle, of South Carolina, aged 23, to Miss Nancy Mendenhall, of this county, aged 27, after a long-long, protracted courtship of two weeks from the first interview! And shortly after took a nuptial flight to the more congenial atmosphere of South Carolina. Deaths: Died, In this county, on Wednesday last at 7 o'clock, P. M. McDonald Stewart, a native of Scotland. Deaths: Died, in this county, on Sunday morning, 10, inst., Mrs. Lydia Clemmons, wife of James Clemmons, in the 51, year of her age. They were married in 1799, and have lived together ever since, in the most cordial and uninterrupted love, harmony and happiness. She had two children who are yet sojourners in this vale of tears. She was a perfect model of female excellence; and formed in nature's noblest mould. She was universally beloved while living, and universally lamented now dead.
