In this county, on the 23rd, ult., Jonathan Murray, of Yanceyville, to 
Miss Leah Greeson, daughter of the Rev. Jacob Greeson, of this county.

Deaths:
In Randolph county, on the 8th inst., Martha Reding, wife of John 
Reding.


July 19, 1834
Deaths:
In this place on Monday morning the 14th, inst., of scarlet fever, 
being only 36 hours sick, Martha Ramsay, daughter of John M. Logan, 
aged four years one month and eighteen days.


July 26, 1834
Deaths:
In this place on Sunday morning last, at half past one o'clock, Mariah
E. Brown, late from New York, aged about 15 years.

In this place, on Sunday evening, the 20th inst., about 6 o'clock, 
Julia Virginia, only daughter of Watson W. Woodburn, aged one year, 
seven months and seven days.


August 6, 1834
Marriages:
In this county, on the evening of the 16th ult., Nathan Rogers, aged 
about 26 to Mrs. Anritty Work, widow of John Work, deceased, aged about
60.

Deaths:
In this place, on Saturday evening the 2nd inst., Ann Elizabeth, 
daughter of John M. Logan, aged (??) and 10 months.


August 27, 1834
Marriages:
In Caswell county, on Tuesday the 19th inst., Dr. Robert P. Williamson 
to Miss Angelina Ann Watt, daughter of the late Col. Absalom Watt.

In Wentworth, on Tuesday, the 10th inst., by the Rev. S. S. Bryant, Mr.
Jesse Shelly to Miss Tabitha Woodburn, both of this county.

Deaths:
Died in Rockingham county, on the 17th June, Ann E. Scales, daughter of
James M. Scales, aged 19 months.

In this county, on Thursday the 14th, inst., by Boaz Adams, Esq., 
George Patterson, of Orange to Miss Sophia Cobb of this county.

In Knoxville, Tenn., Dr. Williams aged on hundred years to Miss Nancy
Israel.

Deaths:
On the 30th ult., in Bladen county, Samuel M. Oliver, aged 77 years.

In Baltimore, a few days since, the Rev. Gregory F. Bedell, aged about 
73 years.

Near Chapel Hill, on the 17th inst., Mrs. Ellen Craig, in the 70th year
of her age.

In Greensborough, Alabama, on the 4th inst., George M. Johnson, aged 
about 35 years.

In Elizabeth City, a short time since, Michael Russell, to Miss 
Penelope Ethelridge.

In New Hanover county, on the 19th ult., John Hamilton, aged 72 to Miss
Rebecca Bryant, aged 18.

In Lancaster county, S. C., on the 26th ult., Richard Anstill, to Miss
Frances Ann Lovette.

In this county, on the 25th ult., by the Rev. John P. Speigle, Joseph 
B. Armfield, to Miss Martha S. Coe, daughter of the Rev. John Coe, all 
of this county.

In Orange county, on the 23rd ult., John G. Freeland, to Miss Lucinda
McCauly.

Deaths:
In Salisbury, on Friday, the 19th ult., Alexander S. Thompson, aged 
about 20 years.

At his residence in the Jersey settlement, on Sunday the 7th ult., Col.
Casper Smith, aged about 75 years.

On the 17th ult., in Newbern, Margaret E. Donnell, aged about seven 
years.

In Newbern, on the 15th ult., Mr. Joshua Mitchell, in the 67th year of 
his age.

In Craven county, on the 17th inst., Mrs. Elizabeth Yeamans.

In Alabama, on the 18th ult., Mr. Alexander H. Henderson, formerly of
Rockingham county in this state.

In Johnson county, on the 19th August last, James Woodell, in the 68th 
year of his age.

In Illinois, on the 29th July last, James W. Thompson, aged about 
eighteen years.

In Rowan county, not long since, George Miller, aged 66 years.

In Lincoln county, on the 4th ult., John F. Barton, in the 21st year of
his age.

Died in this county at the residence of Dr. Swaim, on the night of the 
19th inst., Mrs. Deborah Gardner, widow of William Gardner, aged about 
81 years.

In Chatham county, on the 5th inst., by William Albright, Esq., Ransome
Pope to Miss Sally Johnson.

In this county, on the 14th ult., by the Rev. Eli W. Caruthers, James 
D. Hall to Miss Isabella Scott, daughter of Capt. Adam Scott, all of 
this county.

In Chatham county, on the 8th inst., Mrs. Patsey Memath, wife of James
Memath, Esq.,

In Davidson county, on the 1st inst., Sarah Brummell, in the 36th year
