DEPARTED THIS LIFE, on Sabbath evening, the 3rd inst., DR. ABNER FORBUS, at 
the residence of his brother-in-law, JAMES GALBREATH, after suffering a long 
and protracted illness, which he bore with Christian fortitude. He left a 
widowed mother, several brothers and sisters, with a number of more distant 
relatives and personal friends to mourn him. He was a member of the 
Presbyterian Church. He studied medicine with DR. CALDWELL and Co. of 
Greensboro and finished his course in the Medical College of Transylvania. He 
was a young man who had just commenced the practice of medicine.
