Guilford County, NC - Obituary of Floyd D. Faulkner, 2006 ~~~~~~~~~~ FLOYD DON FAULKNER A loving father and companion, he passed from this earth to Heaven’s eternal light on December 15, 2006. Born on October 19, 1928 in High Point, North Carolina, Floyd, at a very early age quit school to help provide for his mother, brothers and sisters. When he was 19, he entered the U.S. Navy and served his country for two years. All he met recognized Floyd’s mechanical abilities. Though his education had been cut short, he continued to advance in rank with oil and gas companies, eventually settling in the quality control profession where he started his own company in the Houston, TX. Since selling his business, Floyd has been retired and living in Magnolia, Texas. He was never too busy to help a neighbor, friend or family member. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Gelene Hallman in 1992. He is survived by his loving companion Mary Hightower, daughter Pam Braly, sons Don Faulkner, Dean Faulkner and wife Jenny of New Braunfels, and David Faulkner and friend Courtney. He also has several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. A visitation and celebration of Floyd’s life will be held Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Magnolia Funeral Home, Magnolia, Texas.
