Sept. 2,  1836   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at Wentworth, Rockingham County, on the evening of Friday, the 26th 
ult., very suddenly, COL. ALFRED E. HANNER, Senior Editor of the Greensboro 
Patriot. He left home on Monday morning previous, apparently in his usual 
health and spirits, but was taken violently ill on Thursday morning of a 
bilious Colic, and the paid the debt of nature the next evening.
