KNOW all men by this presents that we James Hall & John Forbush are hereby 
held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Rd. D. Spait, Esqr. Govnr. &c. in 
the sum of Five Hundred pounds Currency which payment well and truly to be 
made we bind ourselves ____ and Each of our heirs Exrs. Adms. &c. jointly 
severally & firmly by these presents sealed with our seals & dated this 22 
July 1793 -----  
 
Whereas this Day James Hall hath obtained a license for a Marriage to be 
celebrated between him & Rebeckah Forbush, now if there shall not appear at 
any time hereafter that there is no lawful cause to obstruct the said Mariage 
then the above Obligation to be Void  Otherwise to remain in full force ---
