William Denny Paisley
 
William Denny Paisley, the oldest son of Colonel John Paisley, became a 
Presbyterian Minister, and was the founder of the First Presbyterian Church, 
Greensboro, North Carolina.  He married Frances Mebane in 1798. They had four 
children, viz: Polly N., who became the wife of Rev. Jesse Rankin; Mary Ann, 
who never married; Julia Anna, who married Judge John A Gilmer; Sarah J., who 
married Robert M. Sloan.
