I, E.M. Bennett, being of sound mind and disposing memory, realizing the uncertainty of of [sic] life and the certainty of death, do make and declare this to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and declaring utterly void any will heretofore made by me. 1. I request that my executor her [sic] inafter named shall pay all my just debts out of the firay moneys coming into her hands, including funeral expenses and a suitable monument to my grave, the cost of said monument to be determined by my wife and children. 2. I will to my devoted wife, Mrs. E.M. Bennett all of my real and personal property of whatsoever kind and nature, including all my life insurance of whatsoever kind and nature. 4. [sic] I appoint as my executor my wife, Susan Pearl Bennett. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the 30th day of October, 1924. E.M. Bennett {seal} Signed, sealed and declared by the said E.M. Bennett to be his last will, and testament in our presence, who at his request do hereunto sign our names as witnesses. George T. Lane Mrs. John E. Williams. --- State of North Caroline, Guilford County. In the Superior Court Before the Clerk. A paper hereto attached and purporting to be last Wi;; [sic] and Testament of E.M. Bennett, deceased, bearing date of 30th day of October, 1924, is exhibited before the undersigned Clerk of the Superior Court of Guilford County, North Carolina, by Pearl Bennett, the executor therein named, and thereupon the following proof thereof is taken by the oath and examination of Geo. T. Lane, and Mrs. Jno. E. Williams, the subscribing witnesses thereto, as follows: North Carolina, Guilford County: Geo. T. Lane, and Mrs. Jno E. Williams, being duly sworn, depose and say, and each to himself deposes and says that he is a subscribing witness to the said paper-writing now shown him, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of E.M. Bennett, and that he saw E.M. Bennett execute this writing at his last Will and Testament and that affiant attested it in his presence and at the request of E.M. Bennett, deceased, and that at the time of the execution said E.M. Bennett was, in affiant's opinion, of sound mind and disposing memory, of full age to execute a will, and was not under any restraint to the knowledge, information or belief of this deponent. And further these deponents say not. Mrs. John E. Williams, Geo. T. Lane. Severally subscribed and sworn to before me this 21st day of Jan. 1925. M.E.
