I John Ross of Guilford County being weak in body but of sound memory (Blessed be God). Do this 19 day of April in the year one thousand seven hundred and ninety-one Do make and constitute this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. My Soul I commit to God who gave it and my body to be decently buried in hope of a Glorious Resurection and as to my worldly goods they are to be divided in manner and form following that is to say. First: I will that my daughter Rebecka have a horse and saddle and bridle two, two cows, a bed and furniture. The horse to be worth twelve pounds Second: My duahgter Nancy is to have a horse saddell and bridle and two cows, a bed and furniture Thirdly: I will to my daughter Marget have a horse saddle and briddle too cows, bed and furniture Fourthly: I will that Mary and Jean, my two youngest daughters have the same like portion as their other sisters when the(y) are come of age to each of them equal in value with their oldest sister Fifthly: I will to my son Thomas two hundred acres of my land lying next to John Tomblinsons a horse and sadle and bridle two cows and two calves a plough, plough irons and other tacklins belonging to the plough. Sixthly: I will the land whereon my dwelling house now stands two hundred acres to my son John, reserving the privledge of my wife living in the house and her maintenance of the same(?) Too(?) hundred acres of land during her lifetime or widowhood Seventhly: I will that the remaining part of my land three hundred and fifty acres be divided between James and Andrew the on e to have two hundred acres and the other is to have the remainder and a horse to make up to the value of the two hundred acres Eightly: I will to my dear and loving wife her sadle and bridle her bed and furniture and the dresor and the household furniture and the other things no expressly mentioned to be at her disposal and I do ordain(?) constitute and apoint my wife Mary and my son, Thomas Ross and Walter Denny, Executors of this my last will and testament in trust for the intents and purposes in this my last will contained in witnes whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date above John Ross *seal Witness present: John Starrat Edward Green Jean Flack The word two cows at the twelve line underlined before signed Outside of Will: It is to be remembered that after John Ross the within testator signed and delivered the within that he made mention of some money that was in the house and said that the money should be divided between his four boys.
